I was born in 1959 in a small town in southwestern Ohio. I went to college at Ohio University and then got my master’s degree in English Literature at New York University. I taught as a part time college instructor for a few years and did temporary office work and basically bummed around New York City a lot, and then I moved to Shijiazhuang, China for a year. I came back to Ohio, became a technical writer for a medical company, met my husband and got married, and when we were both laid off, he got a job in Cleveland. So now I’m a full time writer.
